FUNDRAISERS in fancy dress are preparing for some fun in an
It’s a Knockout competition.
Ty Gobaith children’s hospice staff are getting into the spirit of the event which will take place at Eirias Park in Colwyn Bay on Sunday, June 24 at noon urging teams to sign up to take part.
Organisers hope to raise £20,000 to care for children with life limiting conditions who use the Conwy Valley haven. Fundraisers are invited to form a ten-strong team, submit a £100-per team registration fee and raise sponsorship money for those needy youngsters. Proceeds will go towards running respite and terminal care services and bereavement service.
The funseekers can then test their skills on inflatable games involving soapy suds – in optional fancy dress with It’s a Knockout Roadshow’s Dave John B compèring for the day. It’s a great chance to re-live the hilarious style of games from the 1970s hit TV show popularised by Stuart Hall and Eddie Waring.
Ty Gobaith fundraising manager Sarah Kearsley-Wooller said: “We’re looking forward to seeing as many people as possible tackling the inflatable obstacles, getting wet and having fun whilst fundraising for our hospice.â€
